If your Android phone or tablet can not be unlocked, you can wipe the device, set it up again, and set a new screen lock.

If you can not login to your Google Account, follow these troubleshooting steps.

Delete the device
Important: This option will erase all data stored on the device, such as apps, photos, and music. Data that is backed up to your Google Account can be recovered later.

Option 1: Reset device from another device
You can remove locked devices using another computer, phone, or tablet. To do so, the locked device must:

Turned on.
Connected to the Internet.
Enable the Find My Device feature.

Option 2: Reset device with button
You can unlock the locked device using the power and volume keys.

If you are using a Pixel device, contact Pixel support. Learn how to get help.
If you're using a different Android device, go to the manufacturer's support site to learn how to reset it.
Reset pattern (Android only 4.4 or longer)
If your locked device is running Android 4.4 or older and has a pattern type screen lock, you can use a Google Account to reset the pattern.

After trying to unlock the device multiple times, you'll see "Forgot pattern". Tap Forgot pattern.
Enter the Google Account username and password that were previously added to the device.
